Hutto ISD
Halff worked with VLK Architects on the modernization and renovation of Memorial Stadium in Hutto ISD. Hutto Memorial Stadium, named in honor of veterans and first responders, contains plaques on display that honor each military branch. These much-needed improvements help meet the needs of Hutto High School’s growing population, with renovation of stadium facilities, stands, parking, drainage and other critical infrastructure.
Halff provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services for the project, which completely renovated home-side grandstands, a press box, hardscaping, new concessions/restrooms and a ticketing booth.
Completed in 2021, Halff’s landscape architects planted designs for the renovated entrances of the Hutto football stadium, which included a new grand walkway coming from the high school, trees and shrub beds lining the entrance corridor base, and accessible walkways. In addition to planning and design, Halff also assisted with construction phase administration.
Fun fact: The old Hutto ISD stadium of Hutto High School was one of the filming locations appearing on the TV series Friday Night Lights (2006-2011).
